Travelers boast about the location (not uphill!) and the kind staff of this simple but comfortable lodging in the heart of Namche Bazaar. Guests can enjoy the restaurant, bar, and outdoor patio. Day: 8, duration: 5Mountain Lodges—Everest Base Camp Trek
Bhattis, mountain lodges or local inns, have existed in Nepal for centuries. Most are family-run with private rooms for guests, and some offer private bathrooms. The sparsely decorated rooms are comfortable enough, and some lodges have solar-powered lights, so it's "lights out" soon after dinner. Breakfasts and dinners are served in the dining room — wear warm clothing to meals.
